Cruise Performance pages

This page shows the performance information for the Cruise flight phase. The page is accessed by pressing the  PERF key..

The Performance page that is shown is dependant upon the FMGS flight phase. The PREV and NEXT prompts may be used to access the required performance page.

ACT MODE

CI

Shows the active speed mode as either managed or selected

Shows the cost index as entered on the INIT A page

MANAGED

PRESEL

Shows the FMGS computed ECON speed/Mach

Shows the PRESEL as long as the Cruise phase is not active. If the Cruise phase is active it shows the FCU selected speed or Mach.

If a Pre select speed is entered, an astrix is placed around the Managed Speed value at  LSK  line 3. Pressing the  LSK  3L thereafter will reinstate the managed speed and  return brackets back to the PRE SEL line

Entering a Pre select speed will cause the FCU to initialize to that speed at the start of the Cruise phase, and the aircraft will then be in selected speed mode.

DES CABIN RATE

The flight crew may modify this value. The value is used to determine the descent re-pressurization segment.
