Route Offset

At the request of ATC, the flight crew are required to offset their route by 25 nautical miles to the right.

The offset will still allow the basic route to be followed, but allows the aircraft to be positioned within the airway(s) to allow for other traffic.

The Pilot Non Flying :

On the Flight Plan page select the Left LSK next to TO waypoint. This brings up the Lateral Revision for the Present Position (PPOS). Only this LAT REV page has an Offset entry.

The PNF enters 25R into the scratchpad and then enters it at LSK 2L

The Aircraft is then guided to the right of the initial track and continues on the original course at an offset of 25 NM

The Aircraft is now  on a route offset to the right of the initial track and continues on the original course at an offset of 25 NM

More details about Route offset may be found in the Route Offset function description of the MCDU.
