System Pressure and Status

At the top of the HYD SD page is the system status and pressure. The pressure is in PSI and is shown green if above 1400 psi else it is shown in amber.

The system status is shown by a Green triangle if the system is pressurized and valid, else it is shown as an amber triangle.

Electric Pump Status

Each hydraulic system has one electric motor that may be used as temporary back up to move the flight control surfaces.

The electric pump status is shown by a green filled in triangle when the pump is running or by a white triangle when the pump is not running

Engine Pump Status

The engine driven pumps are shown green with an inline vertical bar when they are running.

The engine driven pumps may also be shown in amber when they are not running or may show the text “LO” in amber whe they have a low pressure fault.

Hydraulic SOV

On each engine the hydraulic system from the engine driven pump has a Shut Off Valve (SOV). These valves are normally open but may be shut off when the fire push button is pressed.

Hydraulic Reservoir

On each engine the hydraulic system from the engine driven pump has a Shut Off Valve At the bottom of each Hydraulic system presentation, there is a reservoir status symbology.  The arrow points to the reservoir level, which should be between the top green rectangle and the bottom amber rectangle.

The Hydraulic’s system page is shown when the HYD button on the ECAM control panel is pressed, or if the ECAM indicates a warning for the hydraulic system..

Pressing the HYD push button on the ECAM Control panel will produce the  Hydraulic display on the System Display.
