EFIS DMC Panel

 

On either side of the pilots displays there is a panel for selection the on/off and DMC selection for the displays. On the A330-200 PC simulation, the panel is drawn underneath the displays due to space constraints.

DMC Selection

Captains PFD and ND are on DMC1 , F/Os PFD and Nd are on DMC 2

 

NORM

 

Selects DMC 2 to provide Captains displays, or DMC to supply F/Os displays

Selects DMC 3 to provide the displays.

PFD/ND XFR

This button swaps the PFD and ND display positions. It may be required if the PFD fails. If a PFD fails the ND automatically becomes a new PFD. To observe the ND again, the PFD/ND Xfr button must be pressed .

 

PFD & ND On/Off Brightness

These knobs modulate the brightness of the displays and also turn them on or off. On the A330-200 PC simulation they are just on/off knobs operated by a single mouse click.
