FCU Set Up

 

 

The FMGS final set up is to ensure that the FCU is set according to the SID and ATC clearance.

FD

Both Flight Directors On

Speed

Speed knob pressed in and 137 / 152 showing on the speed tape

Hdg

Heading knob pressed in and NAV armed ( blue) showing in the FMA

Altitude

Alt knob pressed in and CLB  armed showing in the FMA

Altitude

Altitude set at 5000 feet.

QNH

Correct QNH set on each Nav Control panel and on the standby Instrument

NAV Switches

Nav switches on each NAV Controller set to VOR/VOR. Confirm on ND

NAV Selection

Constraints button pressed on each Nav Controller. Confirm on ND flight plan

Center Mode button

Selected to HDG-V/S

Indicating in the region of 63 tons ( depending on how much the APU has now used)

Gross Weight

In the region of 221 tons , below Max Ramp weight
