NAV Data

There are 3 Display Management Computers, (DMC). Each DMC receives the sensor and navigation data from all 3 ADIRUs and FMGCs.

There are 6 identical displays in the cockpit. 4 are used for the Prima ray and Navigation displays for the two pilots.

The Captains displays normally receive data from DMC 1 but may be selected to receive data from DMC3 or DMC 2

The F/Os displays normally receive data from DMC 2 but may be selected to receive data from DMC3 or DMC 1

The Captains EFIS selection knob is located to the left of the displays.

The F/Os EFIS selection knob is located to the right of the displays.

Each pilot may swap their PFD with their ND using using the PFD/ND Xfr push button located on their EFIS DMC panel to the left or right of their displays.

For each pilot, the PFD is considered to be the primary display. If this display unit fails, the PFD data will automatically transfer to the ND display unit. There is no automatic reversion for loss of the ND display unit.

Note that on the A330-200 PC simulation, due to space considerations the EFIS DMC panel is located below their respective displays instead of the left and right. .
