Parking Brake

 

 

The parking brake switch is located at the rear of the pedestal. The switch is raised and twisted to select the parking brakes on or off. The ability to apply parking brakes is based on the  Blue Hydraulic accumulator pressure, or if the engines are running the green system pressure. The  blue hydraulic accumulator pressure is shown on the Triple indicator on the landing gear panel .

The blue accumulator break pressure is normally at 1000 PSI, if it becomes lower, then the blue electric hydraulic pump may be operated to return the accumulator pressure to the nominal.
