PFD : Heading  tape

The PFD shows a heading tape at the bottom of its display. The Heading tape shows the current aircraft heading, Track vector, and when appropriate, the ILS course information

The Heading tape scale

The Heading tape scale range is 50 degrees.  The current heading is indicated by the center of the tape which has a yellow line through it.

A green track diamond indicates the current aircrafts track.

The FCU selected heading is shown as an inverted blue triangle. When the selected heading is not within the heading scale it is shown to t he left or right as a value.

When an ILS is selected, the ILS course arrow is shown in magenta on the heading tape. Again, like the FCU selected heading, the ILS course value is shown numerically to the left /right of the heading tape when it is outside the displayed range.
