Approach performance Page

 

 

The Approach Performance page is used to hold information about the approach part of the flight plan. A prompt appears on the MCDU scratchpad “ENTER DEST DATA” if the approach data is not filled in by 180 nm prior to destination.

 

 

 

QNH

TRANS ALT

Mandatory entry. The flight crew must enter QNH in hPa or in the USA in Hg.

 

 

This field shows the transition altitude taken from the STAR data base.

 

 

VAPP

This is the FMGC computed approach speed. VAPP = VLS + 1/3 of headwind component. The flight crew can modify the VAPP value and a CLR action reverts it to the original computed value.

 

 

 

VLS

This is 1.23 of  VS1G value of the selected flap configuration.

 

MDA/MDH

The flight crew manually enter a value for the MDA, if they choose not to use the DH value.

 

TEMP

Manually entered destination surface temperature

 

 

Manually entered magnetic wind in knots at the destination.

 

 

CONF3

The flight crew inform the FMGC of the chosen landing configuration. It is either Config 3 or Full
