Pneumatics
The aircraft’s pneumatics system uses bleed air from the engines to pressurize the aircraft, supply air for the air conditioning and provide air to pressurize the hydraulic reservoirs.
The aircraft’s pneumatics system is displayed on the system display on a number of different pages. The Bleed system and PACKs are shown on the BLEED system display, the Air conditioning is shown on the COND system display page and the pressurization is shown on the PRESS system display page.
The flight crew have access to the control of the pneumatic system via the several over head panels. The main panel is the Air panel where the bleed air input may be selected, the cockpit and cabin temperature set and the pressurization schedule can be selected. In addition there is a cargo ventilation panel and a cargo air conditioning panel on the right side overhead.
