Engine Start Panel
Master Switches
Engine Fuel shut off valve open, and normal position for engine start and running
Forward
Engine fuel shut off valve closed. Engine does not run
Aft
Engine start knob
Engine air starter turns engine, but no fuel will be delivered. Used for dry cranking engine on ground
Crank
Normal position, when not starting or cranking engine
Normal
Initiates the engine start sequence. Causes the System display to show the engine page and powers
The engine FADECs. If the engines are not started within 5 minutes, the FADEC power is removed.
IGN
Engine Lights
Illuminated when a fault exists as indicated by the the FADEC
FAULT
Illuminated when the fire detection system indicates an engine fire.
FIRE
Master Switch
Engine Fire Light
Starter knob
Start buttons ( guarded)
Manual engine start
In/On
Normal position, no effect on engines
Out/Off
Manual engine start sequence is operative.
