Engines

The A330 can have a selection of engines. The A330 PC simulation model uses a 2 spool N1 engine with the associated engine displays. The engines have automatic and manual starting mechanisms, and are controlled in the conventional way using the thrust levers.  Each engine is controlled and monitored by a Full Authority Digital Engine Controller, FADEC. During flight the Auto thrust system may be used to control the engine thrust. When the Auto thrust system is engaged, the thrust levers do no move.
