Fire Push buttons

Fuel shut off.

In/On

Normal operation

Out/Off

Engine Fire detected.

Illuminates for engine Fire Push Button check

FIRE

AGENT

Initiates the Fire extinguisher

In/On

SQUIB

Illuminates when the fire extinguisher bottle is empty

DSCH

FIRE TEST Push Button

Momentary press.

Initiates the Fire Test. This causes all the fire systems warnings and lights  to function.

When pressed in, the ECAM shows the Fire warning message

Note that on the aircraft the warnings and illuminations appear for the time the push button is pressed in. On the Windows PC simulation, the Push button is latched in for 10 seconds, to allow the user to view the warnings and illuminations.

The Engine Fire Panel is at the top of the overhead panel. The Fire test push button is pressed prior to engine start.
