Aft Transfer

As part of the CG management by the FMGS, the fuel system may perform an aft transfer of fuel from the inner tanks to the tail tank.

Aft transfer is permitted by the FMGS when

Gear is Up

Slats are in

Trim tank not full

Inner tank Qty greater than 6250 kg

Above FL255

CG not on target ( forward by 2% or more )

Time to destination greater than 35 (75 minutes with FWD Trim tank pump failure)

Aft transfer stops when

CG is with 0.5%

Any of the above conditions prevent Aft transfer
