Pressurization : Controls

The aircraft pressurization is automatic and requires little flight crew input. Generally the FMGS through the flight plan in the MCDU signals to the Cabin Pressure Controller, the cruise altitude, and landing elevation. With this the Cabin Pressure Controller can schedule the pressurization of the aircraft correctly.

In the case of FMGC1 and FMGC2 failure or CPC 1 and CPC 2 failure, the flight crew can control the cabin pressurization using the Air Panel on the overhead.
