Go Around

 

 

The Go Around mode is a combination of the SRS mode and Track hold mode.

 

The Go Around mode may be armed when all the following criteria is met

Aircraft is in flight, or less than 30 seconds on  the ground

Flap handle is in at least position 1

There is no annunciation of the armed state on the FMA.

The Go Around mode is engaged when the arming conditions are met and

At least one thrust lever is placed in a TOGA detent.

The Go Around mode will disengage separately for the SRS mode and for the GA TRK

The flight crew engage another vertical mode

ALT * mode engages

SRS mode disengages when:

Flight crew select a new FCU speed.

The flight crew engage another lateral mode

GA TRK mode disengages when:

The Go Around mode guides the aircraft along the track that existed and at the speed that existed, at the moment of Go Around mode engagement. The speed is limited to be between VLS and VLS + 25 knots for both engines, VLS and VLS + 15 knots for one engine.

When the Go Around mode (SRS) disengages for a new FCU speed, the OP CLB mode engages, so long as the FCU altitude is set above the aircraft's current altitude.

When the Go Around mode (SRS) disengages, AP 1 remains engaged, if the go -around had been undertaken with both A/Ps
